Massage/Neuromuscular
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” – Howard Thurman
Massage sessions often involve a combination of a variety of techniques, including: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Orthopedic Treatment and Integrative Massage. My focus is on listening to both your expressed needs, as well as what your body is communicating, and meeting you there using whatever technique seems most appropriate. This can look completely different from session to session based solely on what feels like it would be the most restorative and healing to you in that moment.
In general, much of the intention of a massage session is to cultivate mindfulness and a sense of embodiment, helping to connect the mind and body and to alleviate pain and discomfort through manual techniques as well as verbal explorations.
